Eco-labeling

Eco-labeling is a way of providing information to consumers about the environmental friendliness of a product. It is usually a label or a certification marked on the packaging of a product. Eco-labels are voluntary and not yet a requirement. They can be found on a wide range of products such as household appliances, cleaning products, food items, and even buildings. When a product is eco-labeled it means that it has met a certain set of environmental requirements. Eco-labels are not regulated and are often given out by third-party companies or even self-declared.
